The Extreme Weather Ready Expo and the Disaster Readiness & Resilience Clinic are being combined into one program this year to better prepare the community for all types of emergencies.

The event will take place in Hall A of the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston on Saturday, May 17, 2025,  The event will take place from 10:00 - 3:00.  Volunteer hours will vary depending upon desired role/shift.

CERTs are needed as Greeters, Runners, Activity Monitors, Care Partners, Spanish Translators, and traffic controllers.

The following shifts/roles are needed:

• Traffic Control: 6:00a - 9:00a; 1:00p - 3:00p  (they want 10 volunteers for each shift)

• Runners:  6:30a - 11:30a; 11:00a - 3:00p (they want 6 volunteers for each shift)
