We have a request for volunteer assistance by our neighbors in San Antonio for SAMCEE on Wednesday, October 21st.

It is a mass casualty event organized by STRAC, Southwest Texas Regional Advisory Council. Registration is required.

STRAC is a regional healthcare organization that helps coordinate hospitals, EMS, and emergency preparedness efforts across Southwest Texas. Each year, we host the San Antonio Mass Casualty Exercise & Evaluation (SAMCEE), bringing together hospitals, EMS agencies, public safety partners, and 500+ community volunteers to practice how our region would respond during a large-scale emergency. 

SAMCEE is a true military-civilian exercise, with the Navy, Army, Airforce, and military hospitals like BAMC and the VA partnering with us in various capacities alongside hospitals, EMS, and public safety agencies.
